Samira Salisu Buhari's academic foundation was established at the esteemed Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where she pursued a degree in law. She also attended Samadi International School, Kano, and St. Louis Primary School, Kano.

CAREER

Dr. Samira Salisu Buhari is a distinguished executive with a remarkable journey through the worlds of law, business, and philanthropy. With a thriving career in the private sector, Samira initially honed her skills as a lawyer before transitioning into the fields of interior design and property expertise. She swiftly carved a significant niche in the oil and gas sector, where her dedication to stakeholder management, coalition building, lobbying, and project oversight became her hallmark. Her expertise also extends to the meticulous navigation of business permits and approvals, essential for operational success. Dr. Samira serves as the Vice President of Fairmont Shark Limited, an indigenous company transforming the transportation sector, pioneering the development and manufacture of electric tricycles, motorcycles, and scooters. In her prior role as Legal Adviser and Business Developer at Rumbu Industries, Samira played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s sales network into Niger, Chad, Cameroon, and various regions of Nigeria, also providing invaluable advisory services. During her tenure as Corporate Sales Executive at Dana Airlines in Abuja, Nigeria, Samira excelled in securing corporate sales and charter services. Since 2017, Samira has demonstrated her prowess in building vital relationships and facilitating interactions with stakeholders in the public sector. Her roles at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and its subsidiaries, the National Assembly, the presidency, and corporate organisations have solidified her reputation as a strategic thinker and an effective leader. As the Head of Public Sector and Corporate Relationships at Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Company Limited in Abuja, Nigeria, Samira has been instrumental in nurturing these essential connections. In addition to her corporate endeavours, Samira holds the position of Partner at Esbee & Partners and serves as the Managing Director of Gold Skies Travels Limited, based in Abuja, Nigeria. Dr. Samira Buhari is involved in Nollywood as an Executive Producer. She has ventured into film financing and production to amplify high-quality Nigerian storytelling on both local and international scales. She served as the Executive Producer for A Land Apart (2026). Under her executive production, A Land Apart was selected as a finalist at the Nigeria International Film Summit (NIFS) x CACOP Creative Africa Content Pavilion. The film achieved notable global visibility when it was screened during the Best of Africa Film Showcase at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13. Through her film projects, she has collaborated with some of Nollywood's most legendary and contemporary stars, including Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Sam Dede, the late Onyeka Onwenu, and Daniel Etim Effiong.
