Rayxia Ayomide Ojo was born and raised in London to Nigerian parents of Yoruba heritage. She trained at Arts Educational Schools London, where she studied performing arts. Her Yoruba name is Ayomide. She maintains a deep connection to her Nigerian roots through music and food.
CAREER
Rayxia Ojo is a British-Nigerian actress. Her career began with a role in 'Call the Midwife' (2012). She gained widespread attention for her breakout role as Sharleen in Netflix’s 2024 sci-fi drama 'Supacell'. Her West End debut came in 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child', portraying Rose Granger-Weasley, which opened in 2021. She has also performed in productions such as 'Spring Awakening', 'All’s Well That Ends Well', and 'Our Town'. She starred as Ivie in the Nollywood film 'Christmas in Lagos'. She is known for her dynamic presence and cultural pride, describing herself as a “visual storyteller” influenced by her Yoruba roots, Nigerian music, and traditional food.
