EARLY LIFE
Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, was born on April 2, 1981, in Umuhu Okabia, Orsu Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. He was raised primarily by his mother after his father abandoned the family. His mother supported him but sadly passed away before witnessing his success. He also learned shoemaking from his father in Aba during his youth. He attended Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Owerri, Imo State, where he earned both an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and a Higher National Diploma (HND). While in school, he ventured into shoemaking, which earned him his first million naira.
CAREER
Before his rise to fame, Cubana Chief Priest honed his entrepreneurial skills in the shoemaking trade. During his time as a student, he established a small business selling shoes. His journey into the nightlife industry began when he moved to Lagos and joined the Cubana Group, owned by Obi Cubana. As the general manager, he played a pivotal role in expanding the brand's operations across Nigeria, overseeing the establishment of various clubs, hotels, and restaurants. In 2020, Cubana Chief Priest left the Cubana Group to establish his own ventures, including Club Xhrine in Owerri and Club String with branches in Delta and Imo States. He also owns Donalds restaurant in Lagos. He has secured numerous endorsement deals in alcohol, real estate, and telecommunications, leveraging his significant social media presence (over 5 million Instagram followers) for promotions. He is also a sought-after event promoter. His career has been marked by several controversies: In April 2024, he faced legal charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged abuse of Nigerian currency by spraying naira notes at social events. He pleaded not guilty and was granted ₦10 million bail. The case was resolved on June 25, 2024, through a settlement where he agreed to pay ₦10 million and engage in sensitization campaigns against naira abuse. In September 2024, he was accused by food critic Opeyemi Famakin of threatening him over a restaurant review, to which he responded by sharing CCTV footage. In January 2025, he became entangled in a feud between singer Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.

Cubana Chief Priest is married to Angel Gold Okechukwu, also known as De Angels, who is the CEO of De Angels Bar & Grill. The couple frequently celebrates each other publicly. He is a father to two sons, Chukwuebuka and Obinna. There is also an ongoing claim by a Kenyan woman who alleges she has a 2-year-old son with him, though paternity remains unconfirmed. He is known for his luxurious lifestyle, owning high-end cars and lavish houses, which he frequently showcases on social media.
