CAREER

Oyejoke Oke is a writer, producer, and director in the Nigerian movie industry. She is the founder and CEO of Black Thread Media, a Nigerian movie production company dedicated to producing high-quality, authentic, and entertaining films that showcase the diversity and richness of Nigerian and African cultures and experiences. Her first movie as a writer and executive producer is 'Love Lies and Lasgidi' (2023), a romantic drama exploring modern relationships in Lagos. She aims to create a platform for African films, news, programs, shows, and all-round entertainment through Black Thread Media.

PERSONAL LIFE

Oyejoke Oke is passionate about storytelling and believes in the power of cinema to connect people from different cultures and backgrounds. She draws inspiration from her personal experiences, the stories of people around her, and the diverse culture of the African continent. She is committed to social justice and telling stories that inspire and uplift. Her role models in the film industry include Ava DuVernay and notable Nollywood female filmmakers.
