EARLY LIFE

She was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria but hails from Oru west Local Government Area in Imo State. She is the oldest child in her family of five and was raised as a Catholic. She attended Queens Nursery and Primary School in Alagbado, Lagos, thereafter, she attended Elolam Secondary School in Alagbado. She obtained a degree in mass communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University), Ago Iwoye. From a young age she loved acting. She entered Nollywood in 2003 but left to complete her university Education, she re-entered in 2011 after receiving advice from director Teco Benson.

PERSONAL LIFE

Onyinye is divorced and has four children from her previous marriage. She describes herself as being blunt, honest, a goal-setter and getter, patient, and non-envious. Her mother has been supportive of her career from the beginning, while her father opposed from the beginning due to the stereotypes surrounding actresses but fully supports her now. She resides in Lagos.

Onyinye Okafor is a Nigerian actress who began her Nollywood acting career in in 2003 and gained recognition for her roles in films like Sabina Makossa and Alobams. She has also appeared in films such as Uneven (2020), where she played the role of Nurse, Money and Blood (2022), Mend My Heart (2025), Baby Jollof, Amaka Must Go, Echoes of the stream (2025) where she played the role of Evelyn, and Sisters. She also works a brand influencer.
