EARLY LIFE
Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike, known as Abike Shuga, was born on July 19th. She is of Yoruba tribe and hails from Osun State, Nigeria, though she was born and raised in Lagos State. She comes from a Yoruba Christian family and has two younger siblings from her mother's marriage to her stepfather. She completed her primary education at Kingdom of Blessing schools and her secondary education across different schools in Lagos. She holds a National Diploma certification. From a young age, she was very driven and started working at age 12, taking on ushering jobs every weekend from age 15.
CAREER
Oluwapelumi Olawuni, popularly known as Abike Shuga or Abikeshugaa, is a Nigerian Nollywood actress, TikToker, content creator, event and TV host, and brand influencer. As of January 2023, she was a Lagos-based TikTok influencer with over 570,000 followers and 12.9 million likes. She is also an Instagram brand influencer and has auditioned for KAVX La Casera Make It Happen. Her acting career in Yoruba Nollywood movies was significantly boosted by Toyin Abraham, and she has starred in some of Abraham's productions, including 'Ago Alaago'. She is a passionate entertainer who uses her social media content to spread happiness and advocates for the girl child, inspiring other women.
PERSONAL LIFE
Abike Shuga is not married and does not have children. She is reportedly in a relationship with fellow TikTok celebrity Blakeoffishall, who is 26 years old and from Akwa Ibom State. She is a Christian and attends a celestial (white garment) church with her family. Her parents are separated, and her mother remarried, having two more children with her stepfather. In March 2020, Abike Olawuni publicly spoke out against her stepfather for allegedly physically assaulting her mother, even after a caesarean section to deliver his second child. She stated her mother was packing out and sought help, highlighting concerns for her mother and younger siblings.
