Biography
EARLY LIFE
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Olufikayo "Ziki" Adeola spent his formative years there before moving to the UK at age 15. He studied creative writing at City University in London, where he wrote his first screenplay.
CAREER
Olufikayo "Ziki" Adeola is an award-winning international filmmaker, entrepreneur, co-founder, and outgoing CEO of Kugali Media, a media company created in 2017 that publishes African comics and promotes African storytelling through augmented reality, comics, animation, and games. He co-founded Kugali in 2015 with Tolu Olowofoyeku and Hamid Ibrahim. He is currently writing and directing, in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, the original long-form, science fiction-themed streaming animated series “Iwaju,” which debuted on Disney+ in 2022. He also authored his first graphic novel “Iku” and his newest African graphic novel, “KOKOU,” the world’s first Bonzo novel.
