Biography
EARLY LIFE
Ololade Tijani Ebong was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and grew up in Lagos State. She developed an interest in the arts and pursued formal training in theatre and film.
Ololade Ebong began her filmmaking career in 2005. She gained international recognition with her short film The Diary of Bolanle (2018), which she produced and which won multiple awards, including at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood and WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. The film was also selected for the Cannes Short Film Festival. Her notable productions include, Ogeere, Family (2021), Ipin Mi (2022), Ife Aimo (2023), Etutu, The Journey, and others. In 2019, she founded Speed Films Productions Ltd in Victoria Island, Lagos. She launched the Speed Films app in 2023 and the Speed Films website in 2024 to enable global streaming and distribution of African and Nigerian movies.
