EARLY LIFE

Obiukwu Chinedu John, also known as Nedjon, hails from Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a degree in Statistics from the prestigious Abia State University Uturu Nigeria. He also has early recording credits including working with OJB JAZEREEL, UGLY, MAYTRONOMY, RUFF COIN (NWA ABA) & D’ZARA on his first Album titled ‘NO KOLO’.

CAREER

Nedjon is a passionate individual dedicated to music. He is a proven songwriter in Nigeria and possesses a diverse skillset that he utilizes to develop new markets for Blue Pie Records. His roles include New Content Development, A&R for new artists, and digital marketing, managing a varied roster and addressing daily communication issues. He joined Blue Pie in 2016 and has since forged strong partnerships in Africa, the UK, USA, and Australia to create new opportunities for Blue Pie's African artists and labels. He is described as an enthusiastic, decisive, and highly motivated leader with strong marketing and people skills, courage, and creative thinking. He is excellent with numbers and manages financial reporting for Blue Pie’s African roster. He has built a substantial artist catalog and worked with prominent artists such as 2baba, Mr P, Omawumi, Timaya, Cobhams, Sean Tizzle, MusikGenie, Coson, Mavins Record, One House Music and Sound, and List Entertainment. In 2018, he released two singles, 'I DO' and 'You Be God'. He is also an actor, known for films like 'Breathless Moments' (2022), 'Imperfect' (2019), 'Drifted' (2019), 'Women' (2020), 'By my window' (2023), 'Mother of Three' (2023), and 'A Taste of Grief' (2019). He has also been featured in Nigerian TV series 'Tinsel' and 'Yours Faithfully'. Nedjon collaborates with Jude Cheidu Ugbaja, Business Development Director for Africa, and the Blue Pie Board to expand and grow new markets in Africa, overseeing a large roster of artists and labels for West Africa and being responsible for signing major African artists with Blue Pie Records and DJ Central Records.
