EARLY LIFE
Nomsa Philiso was born in Soweto. She started working at Edcon and then joined the SABC in the early 90s. She graduated with a business management degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
CAREER
Philiso has a 25-year career in the entertainment business. She started at the SABC as a financial clerk and held various executive roles including general manager for sales operations, group executive for commercial enterprise and television, and acting group chief executive officer. She left SABC in 2019. Currently, she is the director of local entertainment for channels like Mzansi Magic at MultiChoice.
PERSONAL LIFE
She made a choice early in her career to send her son to boarding school to fully focus on her work.
