Biography
EARLY LIFE
Born in Delta State, Nigeria, where her father still lived as of 2018. Left there as a young child with her mother and was brought up in England, Lagos and Antigua. Attended boarding school at Hurtwood House in England. Originally hoped to be a dancer but injury led her to enroll at drama school. Attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Started her stage career with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
CAREER
Theatrical credits include Welcome to Thebes (National Theatre), Twelfth Night (Bristol Old Vic), World Music (Crucible Theatre and Donmar Warehouse), Top Girls (Oxford Stage Company), and roles with RSC. Film credits include The Omen (2006), Cargo, Jupiter Ascending, Old, Knock at the Cabin. Television includes Small Island, NW (BAFTA nomination), Avenue 5, Luther, Doctor Who.
