EARLY LIFE

Muyiwa Aluko was born Olumuyiwa Omotayo Aluko (also known as Muyiwa Anthony Aluko) on 22 November in Ikorodu town, Lagos State, Nigeria, to Babatunde Faniyan (a biochemist turned writer) and Vivian Afahame (a journalist, teacher, and beautician). He attended Fountain School in Lagos, Federal Government College in Minna, Niger State, and Air Force Secondary School in Ikeja, Lagos. He later graduated from the University of Jos, Plateau State, with a degree in Psychology. Initially, he pursued interests in music and media, working as a DJ, record producer, and music video director before transitioning fully into film in 2010. He also gained experience as a Director of Photography (DP), editor, and colorist on various projects, building a strong technical foundation in the industry.
