Mildred Okwo

Mildred Okwo is a Nigerian film Director and Producer. A former Los Angeles litigation lawyer, her films have been nominated for and won several prestigious awards in Africa, including the AMVCA, AMAA, NMA, and the 'Publix du Prix' at Nollywood Paris. Her film 'The Meeting' was a box-office success in 2012. She is a founding member of the Nigerian Oscar Selection committee and was featured in a BBC documentary about female Film Directors in Nigeria. In 2016, she was named one of '50 Women Shaping Africa' by Elle Magazine and one of the 100 Most influential people in Nigeria by Y'Naija.com.
