Biography
EARLY LIFE
Mautin Tairu was a science student in secondary school but was always drawn to the arts. He spent his formative years watching movies and listening to music, and enjoyed folklore stories like 'Tales by Moonlight' and 'Erin Keeke'.
CAREER
Mautin Tairu's journey into the creative space began about fifteen years ago. He is a self-groomed media executive, having undertaken several trainings in desktop publishing, graphics design, digital marketing, film, and media-related studies across institutes in Nigeria, Kenya, and the UK. He founded Guguru Media in 2020, a Lagos-based multimedia production company specializing in film and content production, brand and marketing strategies, and talent management. He served as an executive producer for 'Tanwa Savage' (2021), which was acquired by Netflix, and 'Mami Wata' (2023). He is currently working on a personal short film titled 'The Autograph of Nothingness' as a creative producer.
PERSONAL LIFE
Mautin Tairu is a single man. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to reconcile with his siblings abroad, and engaging in adrenaline-driven adventures like skydiving and paragliding. He also enjoys listening to music.
