Biography
Makinde Adeniran is a dramatist, social critic, and broadcaster. He has worked with several international and reputable organizations and individuals. His projects include being a consultant for STV rebrand and various writing/editing roles for BBC, Revue Noir (a Paris arts magazine), COMPASS, Nigeria for HIV/AIDS campaign playlets, 'Story, Story' (BBC Voices radio project), reformatory works, KO-KO-KA (COMPASS-IRI project), 'ALAMORI' (National Arts Theatre of Nigeria), and 'Small Boy' (film). He has also served as an Artistic Director for numerous productions at Muson Centre and National Theatre in Nigeria, including 'Death and the King’s Horseman', 'The Gods Are Not to Blame', 'Who’s Afraid of Solarin', 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (opera), 'TAI' (EXPLA-FEST), 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat', 'Opera Wonyosi', 'Alente Tatakume' (Musical drama), 'The Mote in the Eyes' (Int’l Theatre Day Drama- NANTAP), TCF Docu-film, National Arts Festival 2007 (Ogun state), 'Return of the Golden Sword' (An Ivy – Museum project), 'Sango' (Film), 'A Resting Place' (NANTAP’s Festival of Arts play - FESTINA 2004), 'Wedlock of the Gods', 'Relentless' (Casting), 'Khaki-a-go-go' (a Dance Opera), and 'SARO - the musical 2013/14'. He is known for his work as a writer on 'Small Boy' (2008) and as an actor in 'Other Side of History' (2021).
