EARLY LIFE
Mahmood Ali-Balogun was born on July 19, 1959, and grew up in Northern Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Dramatic Arts, specializing in film and television production.
CAREER
Mahmood Ali-Balogun is a Nigerian filmmaker, cultural worker, and the managing director of Brickhouse Media. He directed the multiple award-winning film 'Tango With Me' and has directed six award-winning documentaries since 1999. His career has evolved from acting to directing, producing, and holding various leadership roles in the film industry, including Chairman of the Audio Visual Rights Society (AVRS) of Nigeria. He has also served as a film consultant for movies like 'Flower Girl' and 'Man of God'.
