Laide Daramola

EARLY LIFE

Laide Daramola was born Olaide Olusola Daramola on December 25, 1981, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Nigerian parents. She was raised in the United States and moved to Nigeria in 2007, where she built her own social and professional network. Her early interest in media and storytelling began during her undergraduate studies.

Laide Daramola is the founder of Lady Laide Group and Lady Laide Films. She works across development, production, and screenwriting in both Nollywood and international projects. She is best known as the executive producer of the comedy film Hotel Labamba (2023), which won the Best Comedy Feature Film award at the 2023 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF). Her other notable works include, Aso Ebi Diaries (2025), A Valentine’s Match (2025), Na So E Be (2025) and Interns With Benefit (2026). She has spoken at churches, conferences, and panels on topics including entrepreneurship, women and girl empowerment, and leadership.

PERSONAL LIFE

Laide maintains a relatively private personal life. She is actively involved in philanthropy and faith-based initiatives. She has spoken publicly about entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, leadership, and community building. She relocated to Nigeria in 2007 and has lived there for many years while maintaining strong ties to the United States.

Laide is a philanthropist and co-founder of Master’s Touch (MsT), a US-based humanitarian organization that supports hospitals and orphanages. Her initiatives include the Toys for Lagos project and distributing blankets to newborns and children in orphanages and hospitals.
