EARLY LIFE
Born in Kumasi, Ghana, on January 28, 1986, Kobi Rana studied theatre art at the University of Ghana. He made his acting debut in Hotel St. James in 2003 at the age of 22.
CAREER
Kobi Rana is a multifaceted Ghanaian creative, known for his work as an actor, director, singer, choreographer, producer, and writer. He began his career with an acting debut in 2003 and ventured into writing in 2005 with 'Fire for Fire'. By 2010, he started directing with 'Kiss Me If You Can'. He is recognized for directing 'Kiss Me If You Can' and its sequel, 'Kiss Me If You Can 2'. In 2015, he won Ghana's City People Entertainment Award for Best Movie Director of the Year for his movie 'I Do'. His artistic journey spans over two decades, consistently pushing boundaries in film, theatre, and storytelling. In 2025, he marked 15 years as a film director with the release of 'Radio', a daring one-actor film.
