EARLY LIFE
Born on April 18, 1979, in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria, Kcee hails from Amaputu in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is the elder brother of Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money. Kcee’s upbringing in a musically inclined family, with a father who was a disc jockey, significantly influenced his passion for music. He completed his primary education at Tolu Primary School and pursued a degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
CAREER
Kcee’s musical journey began in the early 2000s as part of the duo KC Presh, alongside his friend Hajie. The duo gained prominence after winning the Star Quest TV reality show in 2002. In 2011, Kcee embarked on a solo career, releasing chart-topping singles like “Limpopo” and “Pull Over.” His discography includes albums such as “Take Over” (2013), “Attention to Detail” (2017), and “Eastern Conference” (2019). Together with E-Money, they co-founded Five Star Music.
PERSONAL LIFE
Kcee is married to Ijeoma Okonkwo, and they have two children together.
