Jumoke Odetola was born on 16 October 1988 in Lagos State into an Apostolic Christian family. She attended Abati Nursery/Primary School in Lagos and later Abeokuta Girls Grammar School in Ogun State. She graduated with a strong academic record (CGPA 4.3) and completed her NYSC in Abia State. Her parents initially preferred professional careers like medicine or engineering for their children, but later supported her entertainment path after her success.

Jumoke Odetola began acting in English-language Nollywood films before gaining massive popularity in Yoruba cinema. Her breakthrough came with the film Binta Ofege, where she played a versatile con artist role (including disguising as a man and a pregnant woman).
