EARLY LIFE

Johnpaul Nwanganga was born and raised in Enugu State, Nigeria. He developed a strong passion for storytelling and filmmaking from a young age, which eventually led him into the Nollywood industry.

CAREER

Johnpaul Nwanganga is a distinguished filmmaker with many years of experience as a director, producer, and actor. He has directed several notable films including, Izunna (2019), Trusted Enemy 2 (2016), Love Gone Sour (2018), Ishi Anyaocha (2022). He also appeared in Jeto The General (2026). He serves as the National Director of Social and Welfare for the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN). He previously held leadership positions as Ex-President of Igbo Filmmakers and Chairman of the Association of Movie Producers in Enugu State. He runs JP Film International and Thinkers Base Film Studio, focusing on quality storytelling, cultural promotion, and positive values, especially for family and children audiences. He has won multiple national and international awards and is recognized as a Nollywood Ambassador.
