CAREER
Joey Rasdien’s stand-up comedy show is known for tackling evolution and its impact on South African life, featuring topics from Charles Darwin to Julius Malema. He is a prominent face in South African comedy, recognized for his roles in movies such as Running Riot, Bunny Chow, Vaatjie Sien Sy Gat, Dollars and White Pipes, Outrageous Blitz Patrollie, and “Material” with Riaad Moosa. Rasdien wrote, co-produced, and starred in his own sitcom “Rasdien” on SABC 2. He has performed in major comedy festivals in South Africa and is a regular on the comedy circuit at leading venues. His appearances include Last Laugh at The Lyric and The Pure Monate Show on SABC 1, and he has also performed at Yuk Yuks in Toronto. With experience in the financial industry, he is a sought-after facilitator and entertainer for corporate audiences and events. He has featured in numerous television ads for brands like Cell C, One Life Direct, Kalahari.com, KFC, and The ICC Cricket World Cup Campaign, and toured with the South African Cricket Team. Joey also appeared on the DVD and CD “Make the circle bigger” with HHP and JR. Joey is a regular on Kyknet and various SABC 1, 2, and 3 shows.
