CAREER
Dr. Joanna Lipper is an award-winning British-American filmmaker, photographer, and author. She holds a PhD in Women's Studies. She is a Lecturer at Harvard in the Department of African and African-American Studies, where she teaches "Using Film For Social Change." She runs Vertumnus Productions. Her documentary films include "The Supreme Price" (2014), "Inside Out: Portraits of Children" (1997), "Growing Up Fast" (1999 Short), and "Little Fugitive" (2006). Her nationally acclaimed book, "Growing Up Fast," was published by Picador in 2003. Her photography has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and she is currently working on a photographic series entitled "Women @ Work In Africa."
