Biography
EARLY LIFE
Folajimi Akinsola was born in Surulere, Lagos State as the youngest child among three siblings. He attended Nazareth Nursery and Primary School in Lagos, Igbobi College in Yaba for secondary education. He earned diplomas in Data Processing from Olabisi Onabanjo University and Mathematics from University of Lagos. He pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Lagos State University.
CAREER
He started his career in 2003 as a sports presenter on Godwin Dudu Orumen's The Best of Football and Lucozade Boost Sports Reel. In 2009, he joined Megalectrics Limited as Head of Sports for The Beat 99.9FM, Classic FM 97.3 and Naija 102.7FM. He hosted Industry Nite, Africa Magic's Football Legends, Kwesé Sports, SuperSport's The Kings Of Football Show. Film credits include When Love Happens (2016), The Island (2017), Bad Boys and Bridesmaid (2021), Twin Flames (2023), When Love Strikes (2024), Ebuka Turns Up Africa (2024).
PERSONAL LIFE
In November 2022, Jimmie married Kanayo Ebi, the daughter of Ernest Ebi. Together, they have a son named Kanyechi Folajimi Ernest Akinsola.
