EARLY LIFE

Jane Obi is from a family of five, with four girls and one boy. She was involved in drama and stage plays during her primary and secondary school days. Her father supported her early interest in acting by paying for her theatre school fees.

CAREER

Jane Obi acted in her first film in 2011 with Tchidi Chikere. Her acting career was initially limited due to her studies in Law at the National Open University of Nigeria, but she became more active from 2016 onwards. She has featured in several movies, including 'Senator’s Daughter', 'Ghetto Princess', 'The Master', 'The Witness', 'Crazy Daughters', 'Another Wife', 'Death Wish', 'Ijeoma', and 'The Martyrs'. Her movie 'Ijeoma' was nominated for Best Indigenous Movie at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. Jane Obi is also venturing into filmmaking, having produced some low-budget films and planning for larger projects. She hopes to work with actors like Richard Mofe-Damijo and Chidi Mokeme in the future and is open to any role.

PERSONAL LIFE

Jane Obi is not married and does not have children. She faces societal pressure to get married but believes in God's timing. Her beauty regime includes drinking plenty of water and minding her business. She prefers a simple and nice fashion style with minimal makeup. Her love languages are money and attention. She has ambitions to pursue further studies, including a Master's and PhD, with the goal of becoming a practicing lawyer.
