Biography
Jane Gam-Dede is a multi-talented Nigerian actress, writer, film producer, former beauty queen, and fashion entrepreneur hailing from Twon-Brass in Bayelsa State. She is widely recognized in the creative industry for her multi-hyphenate career and her contributions to Nollywood, notably through her own production banner, JGD Production. Jane Gam-Dede studied Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt and holds a journalism qualification. She made her official acting debut in 2017. Her notable projects include, Besieged (2019/2021), A Step Too Far (2018), Undying (2021), and Dera (2020). She has also collaborated on high-profile documentary and biopic projects, such as co-producing the biopic of Admiral Festus Porbeni. Before transitioning fully into filmmaking, Gam-Dede found success on the runway and in pageantry. She won the Miss Rivifest 99 crown, Miss Nigeria Eastern Zone, and Miss Surulere. Leveraging her passion for style, she established her own fashion brand called 'Twon' (named after her community) in 2014, catering to contemporary African fashion design. She also previously published Dip Creek Magazine, a prominent print media outlet in the Niger Delta area.
