Jairaj Padmanabhan

Jairaj Padmanabhan is a seasoned writer and director with over 16 years of experience in media and advertising, having worked with agencies like Ogilvy, Lintas, and Mudra. He is now an independent writer. He is the creator, scriptwriter, and songwriter for the 3D animation web series Jay Jay: The Chosen One (2023) on Showmax Africa, which became the platform's highest-streamed series in its target demographic. His writing credits also include several feature film projects, such as an untitled Hindi film with director Jeethu Joseph and a film produced by Uplifting Cinemas, both set to go into production in 2025. He has also written the television serial Hey! Yehi Toh Hai Woh! (2004–2005) for Star One, where he introduced the popular character "Lucky." He has also directed Short films like 'Different Shade of Blue' (2023), 'Phone Call' (2019), 'Peter and Paul' (2012), 'Made in Heaven' (2012), and 'U, Bomsi N Me' (2005). A published poet and short story writer, Jairaj's short story "Invisible Touch" is part of the anthology Urban Shots – The Love Collection.
