EARLY LIFE
Hannah Oyin Fakoya was born on the 30th of May in Gladbeck, Germany. She spent the main part of her life in Germany. Her parents both studied theology; her father became a school principal in Germany and her mother works as a psychologist. Oyin is the second of three children and also has a step-brother and step-sister. From the age of 18, she traveled regularly due to her occupation as a Financial Manager for stock listed international companies.
CAREER
In 2018, Oyin started publishing her dancing videos on social media, with one of her dances reposted by Yemi Alade. In 2019, Bovi Ugboma featured her in an episode of his Nigerian online series 'Back 2 School'. In 2018, she moved to Portugal to study Afromusic and attended professional sound engineering and production workshops. After discovering her talent for producing instrumentals, she went to London for a workshop with Kasey Philipps. She released her first single, 'In Your Arms', in December 2018, and her first Afrobeats single, 'To Se Daada', in 2019, which trended in Nigeria. In 2021, Oyin released her first Nigerian music collaboration 'Ife' with Qdot Alagbe.
PERSONAL LIFE
In 2021, Oyin permanently relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, and adopted the Yoruba faith, living in a spiritual Yoruba community. She has gained attention for her investigative and communicational abilities regarding the origins of Yoruba faith and culture, and is connected with Yoruba royalties and spiritual leaders globally. She is recognized as a cultural ambassador.
