EARLY LIFE

Born on August 23, 1929, in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state. Her father was a bricklayer and her mother sold palm wine and ‘eko’. She inherited her passion for the arts from her late husband, Chief Oyin Adejobi.

CAREER

Grace Oyin Adejobi's journey in acting started at the All Saints School in Osogbo, where she was introduced to entertainment by her future husband, Oyin Adejobi. She and her husband formed the drama troupe, the Adejobi Musical Party, which toured Nigeria. She played significant roles in plays such as “Paradise Lost,” challenging traditional gender norms as a female actress in a male-dominated industry. She is known for her roles in films like 'Ti oluwa ni ile' (1993), 'Omo inu oku' (2001), 'Funfun Loluwa' (2002), 'Akoni Méfà' (2003), 'Ogun àdùbí' (2003), 'Alakada' (2009), and 'Ayo ni mo fe' (1994). She is recognized as the oldest living Nigerian actress.

Grace Oyin Adejobi was married to Chief Oyin Adejobi. She embraced the reality of her husband’s multiple marriages, emphasizing harmony and familial unity. For her, acting was a source of immense joy and fulfillment. As the oldest living veteran actress in Nollywood, she celebrated her 95th birthday on August 23, 2025.
