Fortune Ejim Kezi

EARLY LIFE

Ejim Fortune Kezi hails from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He developed a strong interest in visual storytelling and photography early in his career. He has described himself as someone who “revolutionized photography” in his hometown through his work with Kezi Pix.

CAREER

Ejim Fortune Kezi is a multi-award-winning Nigerian filmmaker known for his work as a cinematographer (Director of Photography), director, and writer in Nollywood and independent films. He runs Kezi Pix, a photography and film production outfit based in Port Harcourt. Notable Works include, The Changer (2015), The Wind (2015), Please Marry Me (2020), Crushed (2018), In Her Absence (2024), Callbacks (2016, Short), Adesuwa (A Wasted Lust), Based On Principle, and various Nollywood productions. He has received multiple awards for his short film The Strangers. He also facilitates acting and filmmaking workshops, such as “My Craft and I.”

PERSONAL LIFE

Fortune Kezi maintains a relatively private personal life. He is active on social media, where he shares faith-based messages, motivational content, and updates about his film projects. He describes himself as “simple, focused, and hard working,” with a strong belief in possibilities and faith in God.

He is recognized as a film scholar and trainer in the Nigerian movie industry, frequently involved in workshops and mentoring upcoming talents.
