EARLY LIFE

Flora Chiedo, popularly known as DJ Flo, was born on November 20, 1996, in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, into a vibrant and supportive Christian Igbo family. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chiedo and has siblings, including a brother named Michael who passed away some years ago (she has spoken about him publicly). Growing up, she exhibited an early passion for music, which blossomed into a full-fledged career as a DJ. Her charismatic personality, humor, empathy, and relational skills made her a cherished friend and family member, often the life of the party. She attended Knutsford University College in Accra, Ghana, where she earned a degree in Human Resources Management (studying alongside her longtime friend Rhuthee). Her longtime friendship with Rhuthee (Ruth Akpan, an event planner and caterer from Akwa Ibom State) spans over 10 years; they met in a Ghanaian school, graduated together, hustled abroad, and even had a temporary fallout over money and pride before reconciling. The pair entered Big Brother Naija Season 9 (“No Loose Guard”) in 2024 as the “Floruish” duo, showcasing their chaotic, fun-loving dynamic.
