Biography

Fern Mosk is an American screenwriter and author best known for writing the screenplay for the 1971 cinematic adaptation of Chinua Achebe's seminal novel, Things Fall Apart. Filmed in Nigeria, it is widely celebrated as the first feature film shot entirely within the country. She co-wrote the screenplay for Things Fall Apart (1971) alongside Chinua Achebe himself, bringing the story of Okonkwo to the international screen. She co-authored the 1956 comedic novel Press on Regardless: Or, The Confessions of a Sports Car Addict with author Anne Taylor.
