EARLY LIFE

Ejiro Onobrakpor was born in Nigeria. He later immigrated to Canada and is now based in Calgary, Alberta. His creative journey has been shaped by living and working across three continents.

CAREER

Ejiro Onobrakpor is a versatile independent filmmaker whose work spans narrative features, short films, theatre, and documentaries. He founded Xtertainment Network, a creative company rooted in independent storytelling since 2008 and officially registered in Alberta in 2025. Notable works include, Love, Sex, Religion (2018), A Few Good Men (2014), Timothy (2016), and other projects such as The Gifted Silence. In 2025, he received the Calgary Black Chambers Art, Media & Entertainment Person of the Year award. He also works professionally as an Instructional Designer (currently at ATB Financial) and maintains an active photography practice. His storytelling often blends Nigerian cultural roots with Canadian and global perspectives.

PERSONAL LIFE

Ejiro Onobrakpor is a husband and father of three children. He frequently shares family moments and milestones (including wedding anniversaries) on social media. He is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with his family.
