EARLY LIFE
Ejiro Okurame was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but is an indigene of Delta State, specifically from Isoko. Her parents were separated, and she grew up without her mother, with her father playing both parental roles. Despite this, she had a fun childhood and received encouragement from her family. Before considering acting, she was an athlete involved in track events.
CAREER
Ejiro Okurame initially wanted to be a model and was an athlete involved in track events. After graduating from university, she registered with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) out of boredom and got her first acting job. She found the initial experience stressful and challenging, but persevered with the help of Rita Dominic. She has featured in television productions such as 'Hills and Valleys', 'Everyday People', 'Clinic Matters', and 'Ashes of Love'. She also acts in movies, but being based in Lagos, she is seen more often in sitcoms as they pay per episode and are more lucrative for major characters. Some of her most challenging roles include playing a 'Warri girl' in 'My Love My Sorrow', a police officer's wife in 'Last Order', and a character involved in cultism in 'Rush Hour'. She has been acting since 2004.
PERSONAL LIFE
Ejiro Okurame is in a relationship and mentions having a 'husband-to-be' who is a jealous person. She handles jealousy with silence and by explaining the nature of her work, emphasizing understanding and trust in a relationship. She describes herself as natural and someone who does not pretend.
