EARLY LIFE

Ebinabo Potts-Johnson was born on November 30, 1988, in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. She grew up in Bayelsa and attended local primary and secondary schools. She described her childhood as beautiful, having a close bond with her parents. She lost her father in 2002 and her mother to metastatic endometrial cancer in 2016. She pursued higher education at Rivers State University of Science and Technology (now Rivers State University) in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where she pursued a bachelor's degree in engineering. During her university years, she participated in and won the Miss UST title in 2006 and later Miss Bayelsa 2006.

CAREER

In 2007, Ebinabo Potts-Johnson was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) Universe and represented Nigeria at Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico City, though she was unplaced. Her pageant success launched her professional modeling career, and she has served as a brand ambassador for Lacasera and Boska. In 2013, she completed a three-month intensive program at the Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA) and made her acting debut later that year in 'The Target'. She has appeared in several Nollywood productions, including 'Finding Eden' (2017), 'Damaged Petal' (2015), 'Birthmark' (2015), and 'Killing Eva' (2022). In 2017, she also ventured into film production with a film dedicated to her late mother, focusing on cancer awareness.
