Dehinde Oshunkoya

EARLY LIFE

Babatunde Oladehinde Oshunkoya was born in Ijebu, Ogun State. He later moved to Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he has resided for many years. He developed a passion for filmmaking and cinematography and became a member of the Theatre And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

CAREER

Dehinde Oshunkoya is a respected Nollywood cinematographer known for his strong visual storytelling and technical skills. He has worked as Director of Photography (DOP) and Camera Operator on several films, including, Ile Wa (2018), Date Night (2017), Jiro (2024), Ofin Aje, Itelorun, First Tornado (Iji Kinni). He has received nominations and awards for Best Cinematography, including winning Character of Photography of the Year alongside Adisa Yusuf. He has also produced two movies: Sunmibayo and Olaju. He considers veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani as his mentor.

PERSONAL LIFE

Dehinde Oshunkoya keeps his personal and family life relatively private. He is active on social media, where he shares his work as a Director of Photography and behind-the-scenes content from film projects.

Dehinde is recognized for his professionalism and has collaborated with many top directors, producers, and actors in Nollywood. He continues to work on major film projects.
