Biography
CAREER
Darci Picoult is a playwright, screenwriter, and essayist. Her screenplay "MOTHER OF GEORGE" was developed at the 2005 Sundance Screenwriters Lab and was awarded the 2006 Maryland Filmmakers Fellowship. Her one-woman show, "MY VIRGINIA," was presented nationally and internationally. Her play "LIL'S 90th" premiered at The Long Wharf Theater in 2010, and "JAYSON WITH A Y" was produced by The New Group in New York. She also teaches acting at the Tisch School of the Arts/New York University. She worked as a consulting producer on the podcast series "The Whistleblowers: Inside the Trump Administration" (2023) and was an executive producer for "Where Is Kyra?" (2017) and a producer for "Mother of George" (2013). She also had an acting role as Mrs. Cuneo in "Kova laki" (1995, 1 episode).
PERSONAL LIFE
Darci Picoult lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two daughters, adopted from China in 1998 and 2002. She is a cousin of author Jodi Picoult.
