EARLY LIFE
Dalin Oliver is a Cape Town-based former teacher who transitioned into a career as a comedian, radio sports broadcaster, and podcaster. He is a qualified High School Mathematics and History teacher.
CAREER
Dalin Oliver is an international award-winning South African comedian, award-nominated radio sports broadcaster, and podcaster. He boasts a clean-cut, energetic, and charming brand of comedy. In 2024, his one-man show, '90 Day Comedian,' won a weekly award for Best Comedy at Fringe World in Perth and received three Comics Choice Awards nominations. He completed a 5-city tour of Australia, performing 91 shows. He is a National Arts Festival Standard Bank Ovation Award winner, with his work featured on Showmax, DSTv, Comedy Central Africa, and in cinemas. His career highlights include five one-man shows, two filmed stand-up comedy specials, and performances at the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival, Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, and in Toronto, Canada, with 'Day Zero: The Water Shortage Comedy Tour.' He hosted 'The Late Late Tackle with Dalin Oliver,' a six-part series for MTN’s BokSquad. He is also the Sports Presenter on Good Hope FM’s Breakfast show, earning him a sports presenter of the year and best breakfast show nomination at the 2023 SA Radio Awards. He co-hosts the sports podcast 'Non-Travelling Reserves,' nominated for Podcast of the Year at the 2023 DSTV Content Creator Awards. Oliver has also been an actor and writer, known for 'Finders Keepers' (2017), 'Soft Love' (2024), and 'Tali's Baby Diary' (2021). He has hosted events for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup, Netball World Cup, SA20, and with the MI Cape Town, DHL Stormers, and Springboks.
