EARLY LIFE
Dagogo Diminas is a Nigerian film director and producer. His educational background includes Theater Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, Digital Film Productions at the SAE Institute Berlin, Film Production at Middlesex University (UK), and a Master's in Directing Films/TV Productions from Bournemouth University (England).
CAREER
Dagogo Diminas is best known for his makeup and special effects work in Nollywood films, playing a vital role in developing Nigeria's film industry. After relocating to South Africa in 2000, he worked for over 15 years in the art departments of notable films, including award-winning productions like 'U-Carmen' and 'Breathe Umphefumlo'. In 2013, he directed and produced his first film, 'Stigma,' which received critical acclaim and multiple awards. He later collaborated with actress Hilda Dokubo on the film 'Asawana' (2017), highlighting women's empowerment in the Niger Delta region. His filmography includes Bottle Neck (1996), Shame (1996), Ritual (1997), Oracle (1998), Wake of Death (2004), Son of Man (2006), Stigma (2013), Asawana (2016/2017), Accidental Affair (2019), and Amina (2021).
