Chy Nwakanma moved back to Nigeria in 2015 and that same year landed a lead role that launched her acting career in Nollywood. She made her television debut in Lowladee's TV series 'This is it' (2016), where she played the role of a young, naive, and clueless wife. Other TV credits include Africa Magic's hit series 'Hustle' as Lisa, 'Life 101' on Ebonylife TV as June/Jules, and 'On the real' as Salewa. In 2018, Chiagoziem made her cinema debut as Kate in the movie 'Disguise'. She is also known for her work in 'Beautiful Monster' (2022), 'Once Upon a Honeymoon' (2024), 'Driving Mr Banks' (2024), 'Dede's Bride' (2021), 'Wedding Night Blues' (2024), and 'Dance with Me' (2022). She attended Living Word Academy, Aba, Abia State, for primary education, Command Secondary School, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, for a year of secondary education, and Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School and Buffalo Grove High School, Chicago, for high school. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a BFA in Theatre Performance and a minor in Communication.
