Biography
EARLY LIFE
Chukwuma Aligwekwe, also known as Chiko, was born in London, United Kingdom. He attended Eldon Junior School, where his love for music was evident as he often sang or hummed in class. His parents later moved back to Nigeria, where he completed his primary education at Santa Maria School in Aba and his O'Levels at Holy Ghost College in Owerri.
CAREER
Chukwuma Aligwekwe pursued his arts inclination by studying Theatre Arts, earning a BA Hons Degree from the University of Port Harcourt. He then returned to the UK to study Film, Media, and Television at the University of North London. While working for a local authority in the UK, he honed his writing techniques. In 2003, he returned to Nigeria permanently. He is the Programme Director for Classic FM, a role he held around the station's launch in 2009, where he became known as 'Chico the Classic Driver'. He is a prolific writer of short stories, songs, poems, drama, and film scripts, and also consults for Nollywood producers. As an actor, he is known for his roles in films such as 'GuynMan' (2017), 'A Soldier's Story' (2015), and 'A Soldier's Story 2' (2020).
