Biography

EARLY LIFE

Chukwudi Iwuji was born on 15 October 1975 in Nigeria to diplomat parents; he is one of five siblings. When he was 10 years old, his parents began working for the United Nations, and the family moved to Ethiopia. At age 12 in 1987, he attended Caterham School, a British public school, becoming the first Black Head Boy in 1993. He earned a BA in Economics from Yale University in 1997 and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2000.

CAREER

Iwuji is known for roles in theatre with the Royal Shakespeare Company (e.g., Henry VI, Othello, Hamlet), television (e.g., Peacemaker as Clemson Murn, The Split, Designated Survivor), and film (e.g., High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Akoni in John Wick: Chapter 2). He joined the RSC in 2001 and has worked with The Public Theater.
