Biography
EARLY LIFE
Chioma Okoye was born on 3 July 1983 in Kaduna, Nigeria, from Aguleri-Otu in Anambra East local government area of Anambra State. She grew up with her parents Joseph Okoye and Naomi O. Okoye, and siblings Godwin, Sam, Gloria, Christian, and Victoria. Her parents died on 30 April 2013. She attended Faith Nursery and Primary School in Kaduna State and Christ the King Seminary in Nnobi, Anambra State.
CAREER
Introduced to acting by her uncle, veteran actor Pete Edochie, she debuted in 2002 in films such as No Shaking with Victor Osuagwu and Sam Loco Efe, and Nothing Spoil with Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, and Uche Ogbuagu. She produced her first film Aso-Ebi Girls and gained prominence with Abuja Connection in 2003. She has appeared in over 100 Nollywood films and is the CEO of Purple Ribbon Entertainment.
PERSONAL LIFE
Chioma Okoye faced postpartum struggles feeling overwhelmed and isolated, but her husband's return from Big Brother marked a turning point.
