Chike Osebuka

Better known as Chike, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor. He gained prominence as a contestant on Project Fame West Africa. Chike ventured into acting by making his debut as Mayowa Badmus on the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela Battleground. He also appeared in the film Gang of Lagos, portraying the character Ify.

EARLY LIFE

Chike is a native of Onitsha, Anambra State in the south-eastern region of Nigeria and is one of four children. His decision to pursue a career in music was influenced by his family. He is a graduate of Covenant University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. He attended Model Secondary School Maitama, Abuja.

CAREER

Chike is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor. He gained prominence as a contestant on Project Fame West Africa and achieved second position during Season 1 of The Voice Nigeria. He was signed to Universal Republic in 2016 and released his debut single 'Fancy U' in December 2016. He departed from Universal Republic in November 2017 to become an independent artist. He released his debut studio album, 'Boo of the Booless', on 14 February 2020, and his second studio album, 'The Brother's Keeper', in 2022. He ventured into acting by making his debut as Mayowa Badmus on the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela Battleground and also appeared in the film Gangs of Lagos, portraying the character Ify. In 2023, Chike was announced as a brand ambassador for Glo telecommunication. His third studio album, 'Son of Chike', is scheduled for release on July 19, 2024.

PERSONAL LIFE

Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka was born into a Christian family to his parents Mr Ezekpeazu (father) and Mrs Ezekpeazu (mother) who are Igbos. He has three siblings, including Syemca, his older brother, who is also a singer. He is not married and has no children. He prefers to date older women.
