EARLY LIFE
Chigan Madu was birthed on the 4th of May to the family of Mr George Maduemezia and Mrs Gladys Maduemezia. He was born in the city of Lagos, where he was also brought up alongside his siblings. Eight days after his birth, the Maduemezias christened their son, Charles Maduemezia. He is an Igbo boy and hails from the southeast region, Delta State. He was raised in the Christian faith, learning biblical teachings whenever he attended church. As a young boy, he joined the Drama unit in his local church and did the same in school, where he was an active member of the Drama society. Though he acted well in school plays and church dramas, Chigan Madu took a special interest in working backstage and took up the role of a director. He also worked as a costumier and stage manager.

He began his professional journey in 2012 after university, working with Cameleon Multimedia as an online manager before transitioning to on-field production and cinematography. Early in his career, he served as Director of Photography (DOP) on shows like "Naijaplaylist Jam Session" for Cool FM, Naija Info, and Wazobia.
