Odera Olivia Orji was born on April 10, 1990, in Enugu State, Nigeria. She completed her primary and secondary education locally before pursuing higher studies. Her background in Theatre and Film Studies provided a strong foundation for her multifaceted career in entertainment.

CAREER

Odera Olivia Orji’s acting career began with the 2012 film Last Flight to Abuja. She gained significant recognition for her role as Peace in the MNET Africa television series Jemeji. She has featured in numerous Nollywood productions, showcasing versatility across drama, romance, and other genres. Notable films include Obsession, The Father, Blue, Fifty, Kayanmata, Bedroom Points, Just a Fling, Knockout Blessing (as Vivian), Love and Pain (as Augusta), Deserted (as Amaka), Situationship (as Amara), Through The Wire (as Iyanu), Eyimofe (This Is My Desire) (as Receptionist), and others such as Lunch Time Heroes, Colourless (as Zainab), Sergeant Tutu, and Attribution. Television credits include Enakhe (as Tamuno), Soole (as Anwui), Newman Street (as Dr. Sophie), Afterdark, Calabash, and Legal Clinic. She has also ventured into directing with projects like History of Chicken (2019) and co-directing Family Court (2019). In addition, she works as Media and Creative Associate at Eureka Media Services and Assistant Director for Content Development at Mindworks Story Consultancy and Productions. Awards and nominations: Won Best Kiss in a Movie (with Mawuli Gavor) at the Best of Nollywood Awards 2018; nominated for Revelation of the Year (Female) at BON 2018; won Most Promising Actress of the Year (English) at City People Movie Awards 2019; nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at Africa Movie Academy Awards 2019; nominated for First-Time Director at Abuja International Film Festival 2019.
