EARLY LIFE

Phyno, born Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike on October 9, 1986, in Enugu State, Nigeria, is a prominent Nigerian rapper, singer, and record producer known for his lyrical prowess and dedication to Igbo rap. Although born and raised in Enugu, he is originally from Anambra State, in the southeastern region of Nigeria. Growing up in the vibrant city of Enugu, Phyno developed an early fascination with music. While rap would later become his signature style, it was his remarkable talent for playing musical instruments—particularly the drums and piano—that first distinguished him.
