Biography
Calpenny Nigeria Films Limited, founded in 1965 by pioneer filmmaker Francis Oladele, was the first indigenous film production company in Nigeria. It pioneered feature film production in the country, most notably producing Kongi's Harvest (1970) based on Wole Soyinka's play and the 1971 adaptation of Things Fall Apart.
