Biography

Bella Duve is an award-winning actress from Aalborg, Denmark. She was recently awarded Best Actress at the Black Cat Award International Film Festival for her role in the film "Disquietude", written and directed by George Veck. She previously collaborated with Veck on his last film "Clogwyn" as well. Bella is the co-founder of Haunted Unit, an international production company that has seen its films "Nightfall" and "Pieces" showcase at numerous festivals. She is a key player of the online company "Loud Voices, Silent Streets" where she has appeared in numerous online productions that have also been recognized on the festival circuit, including "After Mum" which had its premiere at the Love and Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona. She plays the character Shelly in the popular, long-running Nigerian sitcom Squatterz. The show is a staple of Nollywood comedy produced by ContentGram Studios. It tracks the hilarious living dynamics of young adults in Lagos and has been widely broadcasted across Africa via platforms like AfroLandTV. She also co-directed the feature film Present with Michael Lake, which features a production connection to South Africa.
