Awoyemi Bukola

EARLY LIFE

Bukola Awoyemi is from Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. She is the second of four children. During her childhood, she was active, strong, vocal, and enjoyed singing and dancing, describing herself as a tomboy.

CAREER

She studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ilorin, graduating in 2005. Her first screen production was in 2005, where she played the lead role in 'Away From Father,' produced by Lumex Productions in Ilorin. Her breakthrough role came as the lead in Mainframe Production’s 'Arugba.' She has also featured in and produced other movies like 'Ijamba De' and 'Aja Eko'. She is also a filmmaker, brand influencer, singer, and dancer. She notes that a significant challenge in Nollywood is financial constraints for producing high-quality movies.

PERSONAL LIFE

Bukola Awoyemi is a mother of twins and manages to balance motherhood with her demanding career. She describes herself as fashionable, enjoys wearing ankara fabrics and shorts, and her clothing choices are often influenced by her mood. When not working, she prefers to stay at home with her children.
